This Tutorial was Inspired by a Christmas Bauble,
I bought for my Mother, Many years ago

Tutorial was written in PSP 8. But may be done in earlier versions

Feel free to use colors and fills of your choice.

SAVE OFTEN!!

OK.... Lets go....


STEP 1.
Open the Christmas Bauble PSP image file.
Duplicate this image, SHIFT & D, close original image.

STEP 2.
Click on the Circle layer.
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-circle and click ok.
Make your foreground colour #F8eee6, Flood fill the selection with this colour.
keep selected, go to Effects----Plug-ins----Eye Candy 3----Weave and apply these settings



Click ok
DESELECT

STEP 3.
Click on the deco layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-deco and click ok.
Flood fill the selection with colour #F8eee6.
Go to Effects----Texture effects----Sculpture----Gold Preset but change the colour to #F8eee6


Click ok
DESELECT

STEP 4.

Click on the Inner layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-inner and click ok.
Flood fill with #000000 (Black)

DESELECT.

STEP 5.
Click on the text layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-text and click ok.
Flood fill with #ff0000 (Red)
Keep Selected.
Go to Effects----Sharpness----Unsharp Mask and usethe following settings.

Click ok and DESELECT.

STEP 6.
Click on the glass layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-circle and click ok.
Do Not Deselect
Open my glass tube, image copy
Activate the glass layer in main Christmas Bauble Image----Go to Edit---- Paste Into Selection,
Dont worry about any jaggies, we will get rid of these in a moment
DESELECT

STEP 7.
Click on your layer palette, turn off layer 1, and deco top layer
Highlight any of the other layers, and go to----Layers----Merge Visible

Rename this layer christmas bauble

STEP 8.
Click on your newly named, christmas bauble layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-circle and click ok.
Go to Selections----Modify----Contract, number of pixels 3
Go to Selections----Invert----Hit your DELETE KEY TWICE
Deselect
Go to Effects----Sharpeness----Sharpen

STEP 9.
Click on the christmas bauble layer
Using your smudge brush with the following settings

Pull up a little just at the top of the bauble as in the following image

Dont worry too much about getting it exact, it is so our top will look better.

STEP 10.
Click on the deco top layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-decotop and click ok.
Do Not Deselect
Here you have 2 choices
1) you can colour the deco top yourself and apply any of your favourite presets.
Or 2)
Open my glass tube image, image copy
Activate the deco top layer in main Christmas Bauble Image----Go to Edit---- Paste Into Selection,
Resize to fit, using the deform tool

Deselect

STEP 11.
Turn of layer 1 - Layers Merge Visible all other layers
Turn on layer 1 and fill with your choice of background

BEFORE merging all, Flatten,
left click and hold, on your merged layer and drag onto an empty space in your workspace,
and viola!
an instant resized image to save as a tube.
