Supplies Needed

My gift bag alpha channel selection image.
Unzip to a folder of your choice

PSP7 or 8

Xmas Fill right click and save to your computer.




This Tutorial was written in PSP 8. But can be done in earlier versions

Feel free to use colors and fills of your choice.

SAVE OFTEN!!

OK.... Lets go....


STEP 1.
Open the gift bag PSP image file.
Duplicate this image, SHIFT & D, close original image.



STEP 2.
Click on the Side Back layer.
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-side-bag and click ok.
Make your foreground color #bcd3c6, Flood fill the selection with this color.
keep selected, go to colours----Adjust----Brightness/Contrast and apply these settings
Brightness -20 Contrast 0


Click ok
DESELECT



STEP 3.
Click on the Bag Back layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-bag-back and click ok.
Make your foreground color #BCD3C6, Flood fill the selection with this color.
DESELECT



STEP 4.
Open up the Xmas fill image, and set your background to xmas fill pattern.
Angle 277 Scale 30


Click on the right side layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-right-side and click ok.
Flood fill with xmas fill pattern
Keep Selected.
Add a new layer and apply a cutout using theses settings

Click ok
DESELECT.
Go to your layer palette and turn off all layers EXCEPT right side, and layer 2,

layers Merge Visible and rename this merged layer to Right Side.
Close all Layers



STEP 5.
Click on the bag front layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-bag-front and click ok.
Flood fill with xmas fill pattern at these settings Angle 0 Scale 50
Keep Selected.
Add a new layer and apply a cutout using previous settings.
Click ok and DESELECT.
Go to your layer palette and turn off all layers EXCEPT bag front, and layer 2,

layers Merge Visible and rename this merged layer to Bag Front.

OK you can now open all layers



STEP 6.
Click on the eyelet layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-eyelets and click ok.
Flood fill with Red #ff0000
go to effects----texture effects----Sculpture and apply the gold preset,
Go to selections----Modify----contract by 1, Selections invert and hit your delete key once
DESELECT



STEP 7.
Click on the outline layer
Go to Selections----Load from Alpha Channel----lt-outline and click ok.
Flood fill with Black #000000
DESELECT



STEP 8.
you can now open the Handle and Knot layer, which I have supplied ready done for you.



STEP 9.
Close layer 1
Go to Layers----Merge Visible
open layer 1 and fill with a background of your choice.



BEFORE merging all, Flatten,
left click and hold, on your merged layer and drag onto an empty space in your workspace,
and viola!
an instant resized image to save as a tube.
